I have been a practicing sculptor since graduating from Duncan of Jordanstone, College of Art, Dundee in 1971. A traditional training gave me a wide range of skills and a love of the crafting by hand. These I value greatly.

I wear two hats, in my practice and consequently in my work I create:

First, I am a sculptor, working mainly alone and subjectively. Ideas from figuration to adventures in abstraction orientated towards landscape.

Second, I am a designer and hand lettercutter in stone. I work closely with clients, I am sensitive to the issues they bring and enjoy being the ‘creative bridge’ for their ideas.
